Install Microsoft 365 Apps

Applies to: Microsoft 365 Business users

Important: These instructions apply only if your Microsoft 365 licence includes the Microsoft 365 desktop apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

Instructions

1. On your Windows computer, open your preferred web browser.
2. In the address bar, go to https://office.com.
3. Sign in using your business email address and password.
4. After signing in, you will typically arrive at the Microsoft 365 Copilot home page. Click the App Launcher (the 9-dot icon) in the upper-left corner.
5. Click More apps.
6. In the upper-right corner, click the Install apps button.
7. Select Microsoft 365 apps.
8. Ensure the My Account tab is selected on the left, then click Install Office.
9. Your browser will begin downloading the installer. If you don't immediately see the download, click your browser's Downloads button (usually found at the top right, with an arrow pointing downward).
10. Open the downloaded file and follow the prompts to install Microsoft 365.
11. After the installation is complete, open any Microsoft 365 application (such as Word or Outlook). If prompted, sign in using your business email address and password to activate Office.

Notes

• Installation time varies depending on your Internet connection.
• Administrator permissions may be required on some computers.
• If you do not see the Install apps button, your Microsoft 365 licence may not include the desktop applications, or your administrator may have disabled self-service installations.
