Your Microsoft 365 email address (e.g., name@company.ca)
Your password
Internet connection
MFA method ready (if enabled)
Step 1 – Install Outlook
Open the App Store
Search for Microsoft Outlook
Install and open the app
Tip: The icon for Microsoft Outlook looks like this:

Step 2 – Add Your Account
Open Outlook
Tap Add Account
Enter your full email address
Tap Add Account
Outlook will automatically recognize it as a Microsoft 365 account.
Step 3 – Sign In
Enter your password
Complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) if prompted
Tap Accept to grant permissions
Outlook will then sync:
Email
Calendar
Contacts
If Automatic Setup Fails (Manual Setup)
Choose Set up account manually
Select Exchange
Enter:
Server:
outlook.office365.comUsername: Full email address
Password: Email password
Leave Domain blank
Save
Recommended
Outlook is preferred over Apple Mail for Microsoft 365 because it:
Supports modern authentication (MFA)
Handles shared mailboxes better
Complies with most business security policies
