Brother MFC Installer - the path is not of a legal form

"The path is not of a legal form" when installing the MFL-Pro Suite

To resolve this issue, you'll need to completely uninstall any Brother applications and then reinstall the software:

note icon If you have multiple Brother machines, this tool will uninstall all of the Brother software.

1. Cancel the installation and close any open applications.

2. Download the MSI Cleaner: http://www.brother-usa.com/virdata/NSD/MsiCleaner.exe

3. Double-click on the downloaded file.

4. When prompted, click Uninstall.

5. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer.

6. Attempt to reinstall the MFL-Pro Suite software.

NOTE: You can also find the MSI installers for each component in the expanded folders of the driver download - Eg: "MFC-L6700DW\Win 10 (64)\Install\Msi" - you can right click each one and choose to Uninstall.
