Ink in inkjet printers can dry up if left sitting for an extended period of time. This can result in an ink cartridge replacement, or if the ink dried up in the printer lines, it could result in a printer replacement.

To ensure ink cartridges do not dry up, print a test page to the printer every 2-3 weeks to keep the ink flowing properly.
